We recently started taking our vehicles to Affton Auto Service after moving into the area. I am MUCH happier here compared to our previous repair shop. I have had Vince help me through a few issues, and it has been a pleasure every time. He has been friendly and communicative, and I get the impression that he really cares about doing a great job. He caught an issue with our engine that could have turned into a safety hazard and repaired it for a reasonable price. He even went out of his way to record some video of the problem and return a broken part to me so that I could try to get reimbursement from the manufacturer. We also had another problem arise that has been particularly tricky to resolve, but Vince has shown a real motivation to solve the problem and do everything he can to make it right. In the short time we have been going here, I can already say that I trust Vince and the team to do what is right. We even ran into a neighbor who takes her vehicles here, and she had many great things to say - I think it's fair to say she was actually raving about Vince, which was great to hear. We are very happy to have Affton Auto Service as our neighborhood repair shop, and expect to bring our vehicles here for many years.

UPDATE: Had a pre-trip inspection by Vince and his team and 3600 miles later (finally back in STL) all is great! Did some light off roading and over landing, all without a single issue! UPDATE: Went in to get an assessment on my radiator inlet hose/radiator neck. Vince was spot on with his assessment as I replaced the inlet hose myself and clamps; solving my small leak! Thanks! This location has professionalism down pat with quality service. I had my Sequoias lower oil pan replaced. Scheduling the appointment was simple and I even asked if I could source all my own parts which wasn't an issue! Vince made me aware of what all was needed for this job and I called a few times to confirm things to ensure he and his team were set. Would recommend this auto shop to anyone. Just make sure to help out the mechanics and have that undercarriage clean for them!

Vince is the owner and he took on this shop just a couple years ago. Him and his wife both work here, and you can tell. Watching his interactions with other customers and employees really highlighted how well respected they both are, and honestly, don't we all wish we could say that about our employer? And that's just the people. The work as well deserves the same level of praise. My wife and I are grateful for the attentiveness and dedication to quality work and service that was shown here. I was refered to Affton Auto Service about doing repairs to my trailblazer. I called an spoke to Vince the owner an he told me to bring my vehicle in & I explained to him that I had to have it towed. We discussed what was to be done & he did exactly what we agreed on, he is honest & professional & repair technicians were polite & professional. From now on I will be taking my vehicle to Affton Auto Service, and will refer him to all my friends. As a female customer I didn't feel like he took advantage of me.

These people are the greatest. Honest, fair, and fast. The entire repair industry could take note how to take care of customers. They replaced a throttle position sensor on my 2005 Ford escape even when the dealerships said you had to replace the entire throttle body. I highly recommend this place. Thanks Vince. Your awesome.

I purchased a vehicle from Grow Auto that needed a few finishing touches to make it perfect. I was from out of town 3 hours away and ended up bringing the vehicle back to St Louis so that Vince's crew at Afftons (new ownership) could work on the 2007 Lexus LS460L since they had already been familiar with it from prior work at the dealers request. From the moment I walked into the Shop Vince (owner) was welcoming and understood I was from out of town. Instead of spending the morning waiting in the shop he offered to drop me off at a diner right down the road. They got me fixed up and ready to go in a very timely manner and even found a few extra concerns which he fixed right up! I have total faith in my new to me vehicle. I was even able to catch up with Vince about his business and share some great side stories. I'm even going to be taking my vehicles to him at this distance in the future. It's hard finding a reliable, knowledgeable mechanic shop you can trust! You're in good hands with Vince and the Affton Crew! Thanks again guys!

This neighborhood auto repair shop is such an asset to the Affton Community. Under recent new ownership it's just as good as before, if not better! The owner let me drop off my van without any prior notice and had it fixed with in 24 hours. They were professional, polite and extremely experienced. I thought my van had major issues and they saved the day when a lot of other places would have taken advantage of a female (who knows nothing about vehicle repairs)! I'm so grateful for Vinny the new owner! He's a breath of fresh air in the auto repair world! Ladies, take your vehicle here if you are looking for honesty and integrity. You won't regret it.

I do not Know Brandon Mcgauley. I just read his bad review. I have been a long-time customer of Bill/Affton Auto Service for many years. Bill is very honest and professional. His wife Donna and he always go above and beyond for their customers. It is my hope you do not judge this family business on this one opinion. With Brandon's grammatical errors, I can see where he may not understand his bill. This is a tough time for all businesses and negative comments are important to address. I ask you to share your positive comments for Affton Auto Service. I take issue with Brandon thinking he was slandered. I think it is sad things cannot be worked out with such reasonable people. There is never a solution when you use google and the BBB as a weapon not a solution. I have total trust in this business. I am certain Bill and Donna did everything possible to resolve this issue. I guess it is hard to satisfy some people.

Danny is one the best techs for detailed troubleshooting diagnostics on emissions. (Check engine light) I only take my car to him for that. When it comes to something that MUST be fixed these guys are the best!

Went to have my tires balanced on my suburban. Couldn't beat the price he quoted anywhere. Went to pick it up and he told me how much trouble he had balancing the front. He was so concerned he refused to charge me anything. When I insisted he said drive the truck first, and see if it's better. Who does that anymore, not accepting payment when he did the work? I would not hesitate to have him work on anything I have, and would recommend him to anyone. And it ended up he did a great job balancing the tires. No shaking at all. I HAD to pay him for doing such good work.

Wanted to give Affton Auto a good review, called before 7:00 to see if I could get a tire repaired and as usual Bill got me in and out so I could make it to work. Read the review from Brandon totally making Affton Auto out to be a bad place and Bill isn't fair or whatever he's thinking. I totally agree with the review from Steve, Bill is very professional and does great work unlike the bad review said. Ever since I met Bill he has been the only mechanic I will use, he has done numerous job's for me and I never question his work. Also being a family business they make you feel comfortable, alway's talk to Donna and Billy and they treat me with total respect and have seen the same courtesy to other customers. Like I said, I wouldn't use another mechanic and never question price or work done since the price's are very reasonable, so don't believe the trash talking because it is a great shop. Keep up the good work, best shop in Affton area!
